Kepala Badan Penelitian dan Pengembangan dan Perbukuan (Kabalitbangbuk) Kementerian Pendidikan dan Kebudayaan (Kemendikbud), Totok Suprayitno menegaskan tidak ada rencana peleburan mata Pelajaran Agama dengan Pendidikan Pancasila dan Kewarganegaraan (PPKN) seperti informasi yang beredar di publik. Kemendikbud memang terus melakukan kajian terkait penyederhanaan kurikulum, tetapi belum ada keputusan apapun.
